Employer Charter

All sponsoring employers sign up to our YCG Employer Charter when joining the Pathways Programme. This consists of a shared set of values which are agreed between both parties and participating establishments prior to securing their future recruitment needs.

Sponsoring Employer Charter

Sponsoring Employers joining the YCG Pathways Programme agree to the following:

Offer all pre-agreed YCG Citizens who have successfully completed required courses an offer of employment on release.

Work collaboratively with us to achieve our goal to empower candidates whilst in custody to build a better future through education and training via the YCG Citizen Programme.

Provide employer specific training within the participating prison and at their place of business as appropriate to the training and/or sentence planning needs of YCG Citizens.

Provide feedback on all aspects of delivery, including learner/candidate feedback, to help us improve our service.

Enable YCG Citizens to integrate as valued colleagues and members of society on release by paying us a market wage for their time whilst in custody.

Treat YCG Citizens with respect and take positive actions to ensure they are able to work inclusively with dignity and without discrimination.

Support the re-integration of YCG Citizens into society by enabling flexible working arrangements during their resettlement including access to further skills training through our Academy.

Adopt practices that help people with mental health support needs to excel in the workplace.

Provide us with reliable information and reports as agreed to enable us to keep our commitments to our justice partners.
